SYP Homes is an interior styling studio founded on a simple belief — that a home is defined not by its architecture, but by the atmosphere created within it.
Our Story
In 2016, while renovating the space where her family would grow and live, Sophia discovered a simple yet powerful truth: a house is not defined solely by its architecture, but by the atmosphere created inside it.
Through the careful layering of furniture, textures, lighting and art, she realised that soft furnishings hold an extraordinary power — the ability to transform an empty structure into a living environment filled with warmth, identity and emotion.
While architecture shapes the bones of a space, Sophia believes it is the curation of objects, materials, and stories that ultimately gives a home its soul. Her work explores how thoughtful styling can redefine the emotional experience of a space — allowing a house to feel deeply personal, expressive, and alive.
Deeply rooted in her Chinese heritage and shaped by years of life in Australia, Sophia's design language blends Eastern sensibility with contemporary living. Her work balances calmness with character, restraint with richness, and simplicity with carefully layered detail.

Our logo takes the shape of a growing seed. It represents how every home begins as a quiet desire, a personal dream — and how, with the right care and intention, it can take root, grow and bloom into something truly yours.

Sophia leads the creative vision of SYP Homes, overseeing the design direction of every project. Her work is shaped by a belief that thoughtful styling — not structural renovation — holds the power to transform a home's emotional atmosphere. Influenced by her Chinese heritage and life in Australia, her design language balances Eastern sensibility with contemporary living.
Gwen Guan
Interior Stylist, Styling Collections
Gwen specialises in interior styling for apartment living, playing a central role in developing SYP Homes' Styling Collections. Her work balances aesthetics, spatial efficiency and everyday functionality — ensuring each space feels both beautiful and practical.
Jessie Guo
Art Consultant
Jessie leads art curation across SYP Homes projects, sourcing and selecting artworks that bring narrative and character into each interior. Every piece is chosen with colour, composition and spatial balance in mind.
Sky Pan
Procurement & Studio Operations Coordinator
Sky oversees procurement, supplier coordination and studio operations across all projects — ensuring each home progresses smoothly from planning through to installation.
